The purpose of this study was to determine how well fourthgrade students at SDN 24 Bengkalis learned vocabulary through
the use of the Canva Application as an E-learning platform in
improving students’ vocabulary mastery. This study employed a
quasi-experimental design. Thirty fourth-grade students were
selected as the sample through total sampling. The students were
given a vocabulary pre-test received instruction supported by
canva slides as a learning medium, and then completed a posttest to measure their progress. Descriptive and inferential
statistics including the t-test, were used to analyze the data. The
findings revealed that the students’ mean score on the pre-test
was lower than their mean score on the post-test. The pre-test
scores ranged from 49 to 72 while the post-test scores ranged
from 64 to 96. The mean score increased significantly from 49.68
on the pre-test to 76.63 on the post-test. The results of the t-test
showed a significance value of 0.01, which was lower than 0.05
indicating that the use of Canva significantly improved students’
vocabulary mastery. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use
of Canva as an E-learning platform effectively improved the
vocabulary mastery of fourth-grade students at SDN 24
Bengkalis. It is recommended that educators use Canva as a
supplementary learning medium to support English vocabulary
learning and practice.
